Cloud Infrastructure, HPC & AI
Hello, I’m Cory, a technology and engineering leader based in Austin, with 25+ years of experience and prior CTO and President roles. I currently lead a business domain within Accenture’s cloud HPC and AI infrastructure practice. My focus is automation — building the tooling that lets infrastructure ship faster, more reliably, and with greater agility. I’ve stayed hands-on throughout, and I still care as much about the architecture as the org chart.
I build the automated tooling that lets clients deploy and manage infrastructure with greater speed, reliability, and agility — across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and across HPC schedulers like Slurm, PBS, and IBM LSF. Recent work includes bursting IBM Symphony workloads to Google Cloud, and HPC automation for Shell, GSK, and AstraZeneca.
I build technology practices and the teams that run them. I grew Nextira's HPC practice to $10MM with 20 engineers, then built a domain at Accenture from zero to $25MM, where I manage six senior managers leading their own teams. Earlier I was CTO of a data platform startup and President of a consultancy.
I've stayed hands-on across 25+ years of building server-side software — distributed computation on Spark and Hadoop, graph APIs and graph databases, identity with OpenID and OAuth. I've architected platforms for clients from Meta and ASML to NFL, Intel, and Kaiser Permanente.
